The masterclasses

Which pasta masterclasses can I book in Como?

We run four hands-on masterclasses, each built around hand-rolled sfoglia: the Tagliatelle Masterclass – Fresh Tomato, the Tagliatelle Masterclass – Ragù Bolognese, the Ravioloni Verdi Masterclass – Ricotta and the Farfalle e Garganelli Masterclass – Ragù.

Each masterclass costs €150 per person, lasts around three hours and ends at the table: you eat what you make, with wine.

What time do the classes start?

Each class lasts about 3 hours. Start times: Monday to Friday in the evening, 6:00 PM–9:00 PM; Saturday morning 10:00 AM–1:00 PM or evening 6:00 PM–9:00 PM; Sunday morning only, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. You pick the date and time slot in the booking form.

What makes this different from a tourist cooking class?

Our resident chef completed the professional masterclass at Rina Poletti’s Accademia della Sfoglia, the school founded by the Emilian maestra to guard the craft of hand-rolled sfoglia. What we teach is that discipline — the dough, the rest, the rolling pin — brought to a welcoming cooking class in Como. The whole story is on our story page.

What is included in every masterclass?

Every masterclass includes a spritz lesson: you build your own Aperol or Campari spritz and sip it as your aperitivo, learning to make the classic Italian drink yourself. Aprons, ingredients, dessert and wine at the table are all part of the €150 price.

Is dessert included?

Yes. All four masterclasses end the same way: gelato finished with a few drops of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP from Acetaia del Cristo, a family acetaia where it is made from a single ingredient, cooked grape must, and aged at least 12 years in a battery of wooden casks. The cherry-barrel one is fruity and sweet, perfect on ice cream.

Is there a vegetarian option?

Yes. The Farfalle e Garganelli Masterclass – Ragù can be served with fresh cherry tomatoes instead of ragù. Mention it in the booking notes and we will arrange it for you.

Can you accommodate gluten-free needs?

Our masterclasses are built around wheat-flour sfoglia, so please contact us before booking and tell us about your needs. We will advise you honestly on what we can and cannot do for your group.

Can you host larger private groups?

Sessions host up to 12 guests, which keeps the teaching personal. Larger private groups — families, friends, small corporate teams — are welcome at a special rate on request: write to us by email or WhatsApp and we will shape the session around you.

Booking and payment

How do I book?

Choose your masterclass, pick a preferred date and send your request through the website. It takes less than a minute and no payment is required online.

Do I pay when I book?

No. After you send your request, our team replies within 24 hours by email or WhatsApp to confirm your preferred date and arrange payment. Your booking is confirmed once the date and payment are agreed.

How far in advance should I book?

Book as early as you can, especially in high season on Lake Como. If you have fixed travel dates, add them in the notes so we can propose the best slot.

Participants and rules

What is the minimum age and group size?

We welcome guests aged 14 and over. Sessions run from 2 to 12 guests; larger private groups can be arranged on request at a special rate.

Are pets allowed?

No. Pets of any size are not allowed.

Which languages do you speak during the experience?

Our resident chef leads every masterclass and our team supports each session as host and interpreter, fluent in English and French.

Cancellations, changes and late arrival

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellations up to 3 days before the experience receive a 50% refund. Cancellations after this deadline or no-shows receive no refund. If the organiser cancels, a full refund or an alternative date is offered.

Can I change the date or the number of guests?

Requests for changes must be communicated at least 3 days in advance and are subject to availability.

What happens if I’m late?

If delays exceed 20 minutes, the experience will begin without the possibility of rescheduling or refund. If you arrive more than 40 minutes late, the experience is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

Food safety

Allergies and intolerances

It is your responsibility to inform us of any food allergies or intolerances at the time of booking. We take care, but complete absence of cross-contamination cannot be guaranteed. For gluten-free needs, contact us before booking so we can advise you honestly.
